Born from a pursuit of beauty that repairs the earth rather than destroys, this artwork by textile artist Damini Mittai challenges the concept of waste and turns pre-production textile scraps into beautifully articulated ideas and unique art works. The artist draws inspiration from the land and the organic flow of lines within natural landscapes. The yardage of each garment is put together intuitively by her based on colours and compositions, like short stories in a book. Each unique art work has taken over 150 hours to make.
